Booking Fee Policy

A $50 non-refundable booking fee is charged for every client to ensure that you are serious about coming to your scheduled appointment. This booking fee is applied to the cost of your procedure and is due at booking in order to secure your reservation. The remaining balance for your service  is due immediately after the initial service is complete.

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

We understand that life throws us curveball every now and then! If you encounter a last-minute conflict that prevents you from attending your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 48 hour notice by sending us an email at hello@inkcognido.com or signing into our booking system yourself. After 48 hours, your rescheduled appointment will be subject to a new $50 non-refundable booking fee.

If you are no longer able to attend your appointment, please contact us via email at hello@inkcognido.com as soon as possible. Unfortunately, booking fees will not be returned if you can no longer attend your scheduled appointment. This policy shall not be interpreted to preclude a return of the booking fee to clients who have been determined to be unfit for cosmetic tattooing procedures.

Late Arrival Policy

Out of respect for our artists, we ask that you do your best to arrive on time. We ask that you not arrive more than 15 minutes before your appointment as we use a decent amount of time between clients to thoroughly disinfect and prepare the suite for your arrival. Your appointment slot includes a built-in 15 minute consultation and review of your intake forms.

If you are more than 15 minutes late, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and retain your nonrefundable $50 booking fee. If you feel that you will be more than 15 minutes late to any appointment, we would appreciate you reaching out to us in advance to inform us so that accommodations, rescheduling, or other alternative preparations may be made as soon as possible. 

We unfortunately have to strictly enforce this policy to ensure that no other clients have to wait longer than necessary to begin their scheduled appointment due to a prior delayed appointment. 

Appointment Scheduling Policy

Appointments are scheduled only through our online booking portal accessible through inkcognido.com/book. Appointments open up on our online calendar on the 1st of each month for the following month (e.g. our bookings for December 2025 will be made available on November 1st, 2025).

Cover-Ups & Corrections Policy

If you have had previous cosmetic tattoo work and are interested in cover-ups and corrections, you must email us clear photos at hello@inkcognido.com at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. We generally require that previous work is at least 90% faded with little to no scar tissue left behind.

Please note that we cannot guarantee results under these circumstances without first approving that your circumstances are workable. Under circumstances where previous work is too dark, densely colored, or large, it is possible that we may recommend removal before we begin cover-ups or color correction.

Pricing & Payments

Pricing is subject to change at any time without notice. We accept all major credit cards, cash, Venmo, Apple Pay, and PayPal.


A 6 to 8 week complimentary touch-up service is offered for every service at absolutely no cost to you. We encourage you to schedule this service for some time no later than 12 weeks after your initial appointment and will sometimes it for you at the conclusion of your initial procedure. 

If you fail to schedule or appear for your complimentary touch-up session within 6 months of your initial procedure, you will be charged a $100 booking fee for a new rescheduled touch-up procedure.

Guest Policy

Unfortunately, no one under the age of 18 is allowed in tattoo or cosmetic tattoo parlors in the state of Virginia – no exceptions. Please note that pets of any kind are also forbidden in the studio for sanitary purposes.


Healed results will vary with each individual client. Permanent cosmetic tattooing is an art, not a science. No guarantees whatsoever regarding your results will be made and no additional touch-ups will be performed earlier than 12 months after the last service to avoid skin trauma. In order to ensure that your procedure and results are as dazzling as can be, please follow precare and aftercare instructions carefully. Right to Refuse Service

Our studio and artists are generally agreeable and work hard to come to mutual agreement with all of our clients. Notwithstanding, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion. This may also include the right to retain your booking fee at our discretion.

If you are knowingly under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any mood-altering drugs/medications when you arrive at your scheduled appointment your appointment will be canceled and need to be rescheduled. You will also forfeit your non-refundable booking fee and be required to secure a new appointment with a new non-refundable booking fee.
